The Angel fund Initiative of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers Foundation (NSChEF) is aimed at enhancing the entrepreneurial capacity of young chemical engineering graduates, in line with the mission of the Nigerian Society of Engineers which is to provide quality service aimed at enhancing professional competence and development of its members at all times.
The NSChEF Angel Fund Initiative (AFI) is geared towards providing start-up capital for young chemical engineering graduates with bright ideas, as a way to foster entrepreneurship, create employment and advance the offering of the industry as a whole. This intervention seeks to provide a structured way of addressing this major gap. The Angel Fund Initiative based on its increasing impact serves as a good way to administer financial support to young chemical engineering graduates in Nigeria.
The Angels and Patrons through their subscription make committed investments and contributions, and sit at pitch sessions that attracts high quality entrepreneurs with great ideas. Angels make their own investment decisions and provide funding and mentorship directly to successful entrepreneurs ensuring that they kick start their business, gain traction and scale.
Development of Entrepreneurial capacity in Chemical Engineers; Capacity building in the departments of Chemical Engineering in Nigerian universities; Post-qualification and continuous training of Chemical Process Industry personnel.
Funds generated will be utilized in the establishment of the Nigerian Chemical Process Industry data bank.
The Engineers and Academia are the stakeholders in the foundation. Funds will be utilized in the development of a symbiotic industry/Academia Interface.
