Engr. (Ichie) Joe Anyigbo FNSCHE, FNSE, MBA holds a Bachelor of Science (with Honors) degree in Chemical Engineering from the Lafayette College in the United States in 1967. He also received a Master of Science degree from the Carnegie Mellon University in 1969 and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1971.
He is the Managing Director/CEO of Signal Petroleum Service Limited and is also on the Board of several companies including Pharma Deko Plc, GBNY Investment Ltd, Xerox HS Nigeria Ltd, Multinational Technologies Ltd, Ihiala Microﬁnance Bank, Salvic Petroleum and others. He started his career as a Chemical Engineer with Gulf Research and Development, Pennsylvania. He later worked in Chevron where he held a vast portfolio of responsibilities from 1996 where he helped to establish, modernize and expand the oil- giant’s Nigeria arm for over 31 years. He received the Nigerian National Productivity Merit Award (2001) in recognition of his pioneering contributions in Natural Gas utilization projects, marginal fields development, deepwater Fields development and inter regional/ infrastructural development projects. In these capacities he supervised, trained and mentored a lot of engineers, earth scientists and IT personnel for over two decades. He retired as an Executive Director in Chevron in 2002. He is a fellow of Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers and currently a member of the Board of Trustees of Nigeria Society of Chemical Engineers Foundation.
